Continuous Motion Development
Online proposal development for the Green Party of Canada
The first Continuous Motion Development (CMD) all-member vote will be held using a Simply Voting ballot that will be emailed to members in the autumn of 2024. In CMD, motions are voted on in batches of 8-12.
Each of the cards below contains the policy statement being voted on, along with any registered dissenting opinions. DIssenting opinions will be clickable links listed below the policy statement.
The policy cards, and the all-member voting ballot, include a link to the Workshop version of the policy which contains:
- Background information
- Member comments
- Amendment history (changes to proposal's wording)
The all-member voting ballot has 3 voting options:
- GREEN to accept a CMD policy motion.
- RED to reject a CMD policy motion.
- YELLOW to send a CMD policy motion back to workshop for more work.
Please review all the policy information, including amendment history (wording changes), and any dissenting opinions before casting your vote. This is very important because, if adopted in the all-member vote, these policies inform what the Party will work towards if elected.
*Note: Governance motions move to a General Meeting for continued debate, possible amendment, and a vote.
