Collaborative Proposal Creation
Create, improve and sponsor proposals in a respectful, fully bilingual environment. Grow proposals in the "Hothouse", for promotion to the "Workshop", to become official GPC policy.
The official versions of proposals to be considered at the 19th General Meeting have been posted! Official proposals are static versions of proposals that do not change until they are considered at the General Meeting.
The Workshop remains open!!! It contains all unofficial versions of proposals. In the Workshop, the author of a proposal can:
- Answer any questions or concerns a member may have about a proposal.
- Collaborate with interested members to prepare an alternate ('workshopped') version of a proposal to offer the meeting alongside the official version.
About this process
Welcome to the space for Proposal Development for members of the Green Party of Canada, where members can influence the future of the Party.
Become a member of the Green Party of Canada to participate in the discussion.
This is where Greens collaborate to develop:
- Public Policy to guide our MPs and Party Platform
- Changes to our Constitution and By-laws
- Directives for Federal Council to take action
You can start by entering your initial proposal, where initial ideas are developed, to work with fellow Greens on their proposals. If any proposal collects enough sponsors (i.e. 5, 15 or 20), it will go to prioritization to be voted on at the next General Meeting!
The above spaces take initial ideas and, through discussion and debate, turn them into proposals that change the future of the national party.
Be sure to read the proposal submission rules and proposal process, available in the footer of this page, as well as the Member-approved Policy Book.
We remind you that using this space is a privilege, so please behave respectfully with your fellow Party members and always build a culture of dignity and respect for every one of us.
