- +Fellow Greens as we have watched Canada swelter, burn and flood earlier this summer, the crushing
- +reality of the Climate Crisis is weighing heavily on the minds of many of us and the Government of
- +the day has not meeting goals to honour our carbon reduction commitments internationally and to our
- +own future generations. We all know this and are tired of opportunistic lip service being made by
- +that “government of inaction”.
- +
- +I stepped away from intense direct involvement with Federal and Provincial Greens for a few years
- +during the time of COVID to grieve the loss of my partner, who succumbed to her struggle with cancer
- +in 2019. I also lost a few senior family members to COVID. I did work as paid organizational staff
- +at home while aiding her through recovery from extensive surgery and subsequent chemo and radiation
- +daily therapies, and I did work for a few weeks in AB and BC as office field staff during the
- +October Federal Election with her blessing. Shelly passed within a few weeks after the election and
- +we spent some quality time together before the end.
- +
- +I’m ready to rejoin the fight for climate justice in the upcoming election and our making
- +preparations - certainly what must be the focus of the work of our Federal Council going forward. As
- +we rebuild our brand and our capacity, we need our best collaborative efforts as a Federal Council
- +to make the tough choices and allocation of resources to achieve electoral credibility and success.
- +
- +The Leadership team is sound and doing the work - our candidates need to be identified, educated and
- +resourced - to put our best foot forward. Its my commitment to aid in that work to the best of my
- +ability. I ask for your vote of support.

- +
- +I am fiercely Canadian. Born in Montreal, 5 formative teen years in Toronto, and much of the rest of
- +my life in Manitoba, and where I raised my now adult sons. I love my prairie home and I love my
- +country for all its beauty and diversity.
- +
- +I currently work for a national telecommunications company in a Technical Sales Customer Support
- +role – I speak with Canadians daily and am directly involved in conflict resolution in my daily work
- +as well as being technically aware and current. I work in a collaborative workplace where honesty,
- +integrity, respect for individuals including their sexual identity, creed, religious and cultural
- +beliefs are respected and supported. Those are personal values as well as workplace values.
- +
- +My experience directly with the Green Party of Canada over the last 12 years has been extensive
- +starting as a contracted full time regional organizer in 2008 - duties including sourcing and
- +servicing candidates and EDA formation and development from North Western Ontario to BC. 3 times
- +have served as paid staff and was twice the MB Rep on the Federal Council. I have also served as an
- +executive member and am a past President of the Manitoba Green Party seeing it through two
- +elections. As a GPC MB Federal Councillor I have served as National Campaign Committee Chair, on the
- +Constitution and By Law review committee, and on internal dispute resolution committees. I feel I
