Laurence Montgomery is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Director of Technology and Digital Services for the Green Party of Canada. With a deep-rooted passion for technology that traces back to his early days tinkering with a Commodore Vic-20, Laurence has been at the forefront of technological advancements throughout his career.
From his humble beginnings as a computer hobbyist, Laurence's journey led him to install one of the earliest web servers in his college dormitory, marking the beginning of a lifelong fascination with the digital landscape. With each technological evolution, Laurence has remained steadfast in his commitment to innovation and progress.
In addition to his extensive experience in technology, Laurence brings a diverse educational background to his role. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and a Spec. Hons Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical and Biological Chemistry, as well as being a retired Naturopathic Doctor, Laurence brings a unique blend of expertise to his work.
Continuing his quest for personal and professional growth, Laurence has recently embarked on training in improv theatre. Furthermore, he is actively involved in a software project aimed at leveraging the therapeutic benefits of improv to support individuals facing mental health challenges.
Residing in Toronto, Laurence is deeply engaged in both his professional endeavors and his local community, demonstrating a commitment to driving positive change through technology and creativity.
