Continuous Motion Development
Online proposal development for the Green Party of Canada
ATTENTION: This space currently available for testing purposes only. This message will be removed once this page goes live.
This page is for you to inform yourself and vote on Green Party of Canada member motions.
The Policy Development Process Committee moves each policy statement to (3) Vote where it becomes a Continuous Motion Development (CMD) motion for the all member vote. The policy statement (operative clause) has been finalized and cannot be changed. The Policy Development Process Committee creates batches of 8-12 CMD motions for voting by membership.
The CMD motions are sent to an all member vote. The ballot contains the CMD motion and identifies:
- if the policy workshop recommended more work before moving to an all member vote.
- if the policy motion has published dissenting opinions.
The ballot has 3 voting options:
- GREEN to accept a CMD policy motion
- RED to reject a CMD policy motion.
- YELLOW to send a CMD policy motion back for more work.
*Note: Governance motions move to a General Meeting for continue debate, possible amendment, and a vote.
