Distinguish among blueOcean, Decidim and greensConnect.
Decidim is not built to facilitate the kind of conversation that is needed to develop blueOcean (and sociocracy specifically).
Sociocracy is a representative form of governance. Decidim supports participatory democracy. The optimal GPC governance structure may wind up mixing the two, but it is important to make it clear that they are divergent methods. This website is quite confusing to the newcomer: too many ideas at once, and a steep learning curve for the jargon that each requires.
Decidim may wind up being the best platform for participatory democracy, but as a platform for discussing its own value it is - ironically - not effective. As a platform for discussing blueOcean, doubly so.
To attract and hold the attention of more members, I strongly advise a more appropriate content management system (wiki, chat, drupal etc) to discuss blueOcean. Similarly, 'greensConnect' itself should probably be reworked as a 'shell' that hosts both Decidim and blueOcean.
Unique visual presentation should be established. This is not a superficial property: it is a great way to maintain what some developers call a 'separation of concerns'. It also greatly reduces the learning curve for new members.
So in the end there are three separate 'brands' to consider, with each of them requiring a separate content management system. They are greensconnect.ca, decidim.greenconnect.ca and blueocean.greensconnect.ca.

If you are looking for a slightly more freewheeling, but still asynchronous discussion mode, there is also the "debates" component, which is a bit more like a Loomio. Also, we have RocketChat running, which is essentially an opensource version of Slack for those kind of chatting discussions. @john_wilson might know if it is possible to present selected rooms/channels from RocketChat within Decidim via iFrame or something. More sophisticated integration will require additional Ruby-On-Rails programming skills, so if you know anyone who can volunteer those skills, we could look at adding some other types of content components here. We do have a relationship with developers in Europe who specialize in Decidim, but we are constrained by funding. So far the Party provide a little bit of money to help us stabilize and improve some parts of the system. How such work proceeds in the future is open to question currently.
