David Greenfield
"My name is Dave Greenfield and I am a candidate to become the Saskatchewan rep to the GPC Federal Council.
In my youth I was involved in an early chapter of the GPC in Saskatoon between the summer of 1984 and the fall of 1987 when the chapter petered out. During the next ten years, I was involved in a variety of peace, justice and environmental groups in my local community. Then in 1998-99 I helped found our provincial party, which was then called the New Green Alliance, now called the Saskatchewan Green Party. I was involved for about ten years, then took some time off to focus on involvement in grass roots non-partisan groups. I rejoined the Sask Green Party and the federal party in 2020 and have served in a variety of roles since that time.
I am inspired by what I call the great triad of peace, social justice and ecological well-being, and I am committed to all six of our core values.
My promise to Saskatchewan Greens, if I become the Sask rep to federal council is to be a communication vehicle between the federal council and the members in Saskatchewan. I plan to hold monthly Zoom/phone calls to keep members up to date on what the federal party is doing, and to hear any ideas and concerns that members in Saskatchewan may have.
Long live the earth and all her peoples and eco-systems."
