- BE IT RESOLVED that the Green Party of Canada fundamentally challenges the use of carbon offsets as
- federal policy unless it can be verified scientifically and audited on a case-by-case basis that
- additional and permanent GHG reductions are achieved that have not already been claimed by another
- entity and are not associated with significant social or environmental harms.
- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Party supports bringing the sale of all carbon offsets and credits
- nationwide under federal regulation and oversight.

G23-P001 Réglementation fédérale et surveillance des compensations et des crédits carbone
IL EST RÉSOLU que le Parti Vert du Canada conteste fondamentalement l'utilisation des compensations de carbone comme politique fédérale à moins qu'il puisse être vérifié scientifiquement et audité au cas par cas que les émissions supplémentaires et permanentes de gaz à effet de serre ne peuvent pas être utilisées dans le cadre d'un programme de réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre.Le Parti vert du Canada conteste fondamentalement l'utilisation des compensations de carbone dans le cadre de la politique fédérale, à moins qu'il puisse être vérifié scientifiquement et audité au cas par cas que des réductions supplémentaires et permanentes de GES sont réalisées, qu'elles n'ont pas déjà été revendiquées par une autre entité et qu'elles ne sont pas associées à des dommages sociaux ou environnementaux importants.
IL EST EN OUTRE RÉSOLU que le Parti soutient l'idée de soumettre la vente de tous les crédits et compensations carbone à l'échelle nationale à la réglementation et à la surveillance du gouvernement fédéral.
