- Be it resolved that the Green Party of Canada
- • will adopt a view of nuclear power that is consistent with the best scientific knowledge and
- practices, and
- • will advocate for the continued exploration of nuclear power technologies, including SMR
- manufacturing technologies, and alternative fuels such as thorium, and
- • will advocate for the overhaul of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, including its
- replacement with a regulatory environment that encourages rather than stifles the introduction of
- new nuclear capacity, nevertheless with a continued emphasis on safety.

G23-P018 sur l'énergie nucléaire
Note des accompagnateurs ou accompagnatrices de la proposition: Cette proposition est l'une des deux propositions politiques sur l'énergie nucléaire. Si elle est adoptée, elle modifie considérablement la position du Parti sur l'énergie nucléaire. Le Comité du processus d'élaboration des politiques recommande d'examiner les commentaires affichés par les membres du Parti vert du Canada et les accompagnateurs et accompagnatrices, sous chaque proposition sur l'énergie nucléaire dans l'atelier Décidons: P018, P024
Qu'il soit résolu que le Parti vert du Canada
- adoptera une vision de l'énergie nucléaire qui est conforme aux meilleures connaissances et pratiques scientifiques, et
- plaidera en faveur de l'exploration continue des technologies de l'énergie nucléaire, y compris les technologies de fabrication des SMR, et les combustibles de substitution comme le thorium, et
- plaidera pour la refonte de la Commission canadienne de sûreté nucléaire, y compris son remplacement par un environnement réglementaire qui encourage plutôt qu'il n'étouffe l'introduction de nouvelles capacités nucléaires, tout en continuant à mettre l'accent sur la sûreté.
