Constantine, correct me if I am wrong but I believe (based on searching the GPC website for clarification) that 7.1.1 is part of Article 7 Official Standing And Definitions, from the Constitution and not the Bylaws. The Bylaws are in the same document. Again, this assumes that what I found is the latest documentation. Having searched the Constitution/Bylaws document I could not find a Bylaw or Article that defined Members Rights, other than their voting rights. Even trying to piece together what our rights are produced nothing of consequence which is why I support your proposal. I think you might gain more traction if you suggested creating a new entry called Members Rights - which could reference all rights with searchable wording that would lead to applicable Articles and or Bylaws if that would make more sense than duplicating (by duplicating I mean - if in fact Members Rights are identified throughout the Constitution/Bylaws).
According to the GPC ombuds, there are apparently no _rights_ to run for any position in the GPC. For example, during the reign of former leader Anomaly Paul, her cronies on the governance committee simply banned her opponents from runing for council using BS excuses. Originaly I had _rights_ as the wording but a person who submitted it in their name while I had tech problems changed it to _benefits_.
