Why is 10 days important? Wouldn't a less restrictive timeline such as 30 days give staff and volunteers more ability to combine announcements into an announcement or newsletter? That could ease the burden, and could result in the announcements being more widely read, especially considering that most people already receive too much email and are forced to ignore it much of the time.
People are never _forced_ to ignore GPC email. That is what their decision is. It should literally take a minute to send out an email to the membership lists. The framing of the motion as a _burden_ is misplaced. If there is a new council member tat governs my activity and the memberships, I have the right to know in a timely manner and a month later does not cut it.
